Fails on Code forks like Windsurf, MacOS.

Has anyone successfully used this extension on a VS code fork, like Cursor or Windsurf? I'm on macOS, trying the extension on Windsurf, and I'm getting no syntax highlighting. While it works if I try on VS code.
