Nonfunctional wifi/bt and very slow boot after adding wireless kexts #86

I have managed to install Monterey with the latest release. The only modifications I did to the EFI folder was adding my smbios, and making the required changes from the post install guide (igpu patching, cpu pm etc.). Everything works fine except for Wifi and Bluetooth.

The problem is that I can't get wireless networking to work. I have two half size PCIe cards:

  • the original intel centrino with bt module
  • and the broadcom Dell DW1550
I added the proper kexts, and put the plist fields to the right place for each card, but both of them produce the same error.

When I boot with the kexts added to OpenCore, the boot process takes ~5 minutes. It's very slow, and even when it's finished the usb ports stop working. Not to mention that there's still no sign of networking. No bluetooth or wifi.

Things I tried:

  • intel card and bt module with airportlwlm and bcm kexts
  • dell dw1550 with the latest broadcom kexts
  • dell dw1550 with older broadcom kexts
  • all above but with Catalina
  • unmodified release EFI with only smbios and network kexts added
  • unmodified pre-release EFI with only smbios and network kexts added
  • bounch of other stuff during the past 2 days...

I always end up like this:

  1. very slow boot process
  2. macos boots up finally
  3. no usb, wifi, bt
  4. boot messages

I would really appreciate if you could help me with this. And thank you for your efforts! ❤
