Feature request - Add option to freeze Gantt timeline scale

The feature request consist to add an option in Gantt parameter to fix timeline scale.
In my own usage, the clearest timeline scale is:

• bellow line is week number
• above line is YYYY-MM (month number)

This feature could offer a very better esthetic for reports.

I don't understand what is requested, sorry.
Do you want to disable zoom in/zoom out actions that change the timeline units? Why?
Or the request is to be able to set custom date formats?

Let me try to rephrase and extend the OP's request:

"Silver" enhancement:

• Possibility to manually select and fix one of the available timeline styles such that they do not change dynamically upon zooming in or out. For instance, the following timeline style mentioned by the OP is indeed quite nice and should be available also for more fine grained zoom levels. In my opinion, this style is particulary useful because it includes week numbers.

"Gold" enhancement:

• Possibility to compose your own timeline style by choosing among the available units (days, month, year, week number)

"Platinum" enhancement:

• Advanced units, such as a "project month number" counting the months starting from an given starting date (e.g. the tentative project starting date). This would be rather helpful for project proposals in science, where referencing to a project month is often useful since the exact starting date of the project is not yet known (due to missing approval, funding still pending, etc. ...)

In Engineering companies, people without Ms project / Ganttproject aknowledgement or planning management skill often use Excel to build Gantt planning.

An often esthetic way to achieve this is by follow at week / month level (day not so important).

If GanttProject allow the user to configure timeline scale unit and freeze it even with zoom fonction, that will allow a cleanest planning in report and directly comparable with Excel manage ones !
