Bug: Read Notification Disappears After Navigation To The Card And Coming Back

Steps to Reproduce:

• Open Notifications
• Go to 'See older items'
• Click on the notification to go to the card
• Hit browser back
• The notification first appears but then disappears in a flash
• Reloading the page brings it back

I've just started learning Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and have started reading fizzy code, albeit very slowly, with the intention to learn how full stack apps are built. If this bug is confirmed, and if it's something that that initial understanding of basic Ruby and Rails would enable me to fix this, I'd like to take this up if given a chance, and perhaps a little bit of help.
