In this other thread #3239, somebody suggested a different location for the image path, in case the option provided here doesn’t work for anybody.
For me the location mentioned in said issue thread even though it’s correct, nothing happens for me other than it resetting to the default protocol and path, etc., prior to my edits.

The “boot():/EFI/BOOT/BOOTX64.EFI” option was supposedly correct for me but when I hit F10 to launch then it’s like it resets to the default option again and erased my edits.

Did anyone else experience that?

/EFI/BOOT/BOOTX64.EFI is just going to re-launch the Limine bootloader.

I added an alternative method to the guide that should work for you

• Boot to the Omarchy ISO and hit ctrl + c, then select exit at the error screen until you get to a terminal OR use the Arch Live ISO.
• Run lsblk and identify your drive.
• Run mount /dev/{boot_partition} /mnt/boot
• Locate the rogue .conf file in /mnt/boot and remove it. It will likely be at /mnt/boot/EFI/limine/limine.conf

Alright I have done that and removed the file.

Funny how those files can exist when the directories apparently didn't 😅

Tried editing the protocol and path again, it doesn't find the efi file still

@jalando You deleted the wrong limine.conf file. 😬

You wanted to keep the one in the root /boot for and get rid of the one in the other dir.

Look in the dirs you have there to determine the proper .efi path to use. The EFI file should be in EFI/limine.

Use that to get logged in at least and then once in, remove this extra .conf file and use sudo limine-update to generate a new proper one in /boot/limine.conf

Oops, my bad deleting that.
Have deleted the one inside the other folder now.

According to the Limine file, it was apparently limine_x64.efi but it doesn't state where so I assume the same efi folder.

But such a file does not exist 🤔

Okay there was a limine_x64.efi file inside a Limine folder within efi, but using that as the path does the same thing as the boot_x64.efi file, just resets to default protocol and path.
