Baklight Keyboard Keys stay off after suspend

What's wrong?

The bug

I like to keep my keyboard's backlight on most of the time. So when I wake my laptop from sleep, the keys don't light back up.

The solution

Store the backlight setting and re-establish it upon wake up.
Alternatively, it would be cool to turn off the keyboard as soon as the screensaver comes up
(should be another issue maybe)

Would be cool

Ramp up the lighting as an animation !!
