I am honestly not sure where to put this.
I am using AL for my snakes. They are crepuscular, so I want to get a really nice orange Dawn/Dusk color for at least an hour when they are most active. I have a light strip that has RGB + CW + WW, so it can do RGB and also 2700K to 6500K with the white diodes. The color I am looking to hit for Dawn/Dusk is about 2000K, but the white LEDs cant go down that far, so I need to switch to the RGBs for Dawn/Dusk. There is the option to prefer the RGB colors over the K colors, but there isn't a separate option to prefer K over RGB.
In my situation here, my preferred setup would be an option to set a K min and K max for temperature color control (independent of the existing min/max). If the light needs to go above or below that color temperature, then the RGB would kick in.
I have done a workaround with HA for this. I made an automation that will kick on the light early and do my ramping in the RGB space, then a call command is made to turn on AL to blend over to the adaptive controls.
