In LaTeX, we have the following ligatures supported by the language:

• `` becomes “
• '' becomes ”
• ,, becomes „

In Iosevka Slab Medium, my text editor font, these three LaTeX-ligatures look really out of place:

In the output PDF (font here is Source Serif 4), they look like this:

It would be great if Iosevka had a ligature that made the source file look more like the rendered PDF.

Currently Iosevka has character variants that can show ` as ‘ and ' as ’. Maybe the only needed is spacing adjustment.
