Description
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
As a math student, I regularly use the Iosevka families for writing prose in LaTeX and adore their design. However, the quasi-proportional variants are currently not compatible with LaTeX's math typesetting system. This creates a typographic inconsistency when writing technical documents that mix text with inline and display math.
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like to request the development of a dedicated math version of Iosevka Aile and Etoile; this would allow for a seamless and typographically consistent experience throughout a document.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Using a different, compatible math font alongside the quasi-proportional text font breaks visual harmony;
likewise, attempting to force the current text families to be used for math (e.g., via unicode-math) causes problematic rendering and spacing in complex mathematical expressions.
Additional context
This feature would bring Iosevka in line with other coding fonts that have developed companion math fonts, such as Fira Code (with Fira Math) and Noto Sans Mono (with Noto Sans Math). Having a dedicated math version for Iosevka's quasi-proportional families would be an incredible addition for technical and academic writers, completing the ecosystem.
