For the preliminary proposal, we wrote:
National Security. The SP-OSE is used to inform critical government decisions, to control
expensive infrastructure, and to access sensitive health and scientific data—including op-
erating on Department of Energy (DOE) clusters [36]. It enables sophisticated intelligence
analysis, extracting actionable insights from vast datasets [6]. It also powers cutting-edge
defense technologies, from complex simulations to target recognition algorithms, enhancing
military capabilities and readiness [7].
In the full proposal, we have space to significantly expand and improve this. Please let me know if you have better references for the above paragraph. It would also be helpful to have more concrete examples (preferably with references to github repos or published papers).
