For the preliminary proposal, we wrote:
Economic Growth and Innovation. The SP-OSE provides the backbone of the data science
and machine learning revolution [15, 35, 19]. It underpins the majority of machine learning
pipelines, enables risk analysis for algorithmic trading [16], supports medical image analysis
and personalized medicine [5, 20, 26], and optimizes manufacturing processes [8, 23].
In the full proposal, we have space to significantly expand and improve this. Please let me know if you have better references for the above paragraph. It would also be helpful to have more concrete examples (preferably with references to github repos or published papers).
