Currently, documentation suggest to use pecl to install extensions.
As Herd allows us to have several PHP versions installed on the system, could we manage extensions for each PHP separately?
Something like herd pecl install xdebug which will set pecl config-set to used in project php.ini file.
That will force install xdebug to the right Zend API version, and add it to the right php.ini file
