GPU 100% !!! #56

MY SITUATION: I played around with the focal distance, depth of field, field view and probably with the aperture and I almost cooked my gpu. My screen went black, also started to hear noise from the gpu fans or maybe it was the power supply and inmediatly turned off my pc. Luckly I powerd on and everything was normal. I have my cpu integrated gpu turned off, I don't know if that can be the issue or maybe need to teak all those parameters time by time cause all the computational calculations that the gpu is making it chokes. I have manual setted fan speed in Afterburner also. I have the newes drivers by date rn. I also read othes similar posts and saw that the power managment could be also something to look for my issue. And I also have my cpu limited to 97% in one power managment tab. MY PC SPECS: CPU: AMD 5 7600X 6x QUESTIONS:
This program is really cool and I will enjoy to use it a lot when I solve all my issues! |

Hi, usually everything is supposed to work well with default settings, your video card should easily handle this without problem. The 100% gpu usage is expected too (IFSRenderer will use all capacity available). The black screen is worrying, maybe it's because of your custom afterburner settings.
No, everything is included in your gpu driver and IFSRenderer.
No, you don't need to turn it on. IFSRenderer can only use a single video card and I recommend that to be the external one.
I guess you meant to say GPU here? 100% utilization is expected. IFSR doesn't have much use of the cpu.
I'm not an expert in hardware tuning, not sure how it affects performance. I suspect that restricting your fan speed causes overheating. My suggestion in general is to keep default settings to avoid frying the hardware |
