OUTDATED, NEW VERSION UNDER DEVELOPMENT (Original title: Cannot get latest scene types to work)

I cannot figure out what is wrong, but your latest scene types in the config example do not work. The plugin still responds to “lightbulb”, “switch”, “window_cover” but not the new scene types in the readme. Also, the config example does not work with the “platform” : “ISY-994i” and needs to be updated to “ISY-HUB”. Config example also does not match the config.example.json file. With all that said, is there some files not in sync in the GitHub or NPM? I have tried manually installing via terminal in HomeBridge and have run out of things to try.

Glad you stumbled upon this project. About it, it's been a long time since an update, and I might not be able to answer your previous questions. This version of this plugin is kind of outdated and old (JavaScript), and was developed with the first versions of the Homebridge API in mind.

That being said, I'm actually recreating this plugin, but in a much more modern approach. First of all TypeScript. Second, better implementation of the Homebridge API. And lastly, better protocol translation between ISY and HomeKit. As a bonus, homebridge-ui support is also being implemented.

This new version is still under development, but it is 95% done (hopefully). I have not yet made any code upload and was planning to release it last month, but work got on the way, and it's still hanging in my desktop. Not much is left to be done, mostly testing.

I'll try to upload a new branch with this new version, so that you can use it and maybe test it. No guarantees on when, but will try my best to do it ASAP. (Do not hesitate on asking a new question on this issue to know more about the progress!)

Thank you much for the detailed reply. I’m looking forward to seeing your changes and I will be glad to test it. I am running ISY firmware 5.3.0 as well as the latest HomeBridge version 1.3.4. I’m also running the latest Polyglot Node server, but don’t think you have any node server integration. I figured the issues I am seeing had something to do with the latest Homebridge. I’ll keep an eye on your repository for the new version and test when I see it. Thanks again.

@psmith3 Hey, long time since last message. Just uploaded a new brand called dev with the new version. I'm still getting it polished and should merge soon.

Let me know it you need any help in setting it up, or if any questions come up. Still not published to NPM though, setup needs to be somewhat manual. This version should have a config UI in Homebridge, and it has instructions on what option does what.

Hi @bgottsch, can you provide some instructions on how to install this plugin at this time to Homebridge? Can I do it via command line in the Homebridge terminal?

Edit: I got it downloaded via command line and can also install it with the "previous versions" settings menu but cannot get it to work. Guidance would be appreciated.

Making some progress trying to get the beta to work. One issue I found is that the config is referencing the wrong platform. it should be "platform": "ISY Hub". The old reference is isy-hub. Also seeing [ISY Hub] Connection refused by host. Review config.json. My connection info is correct.
