How to Run Locally

  1. Install dependencies:

    cd 8_startup_idea_validator
uv pip install -e .

  2. Set up environment variables (.env file):

    OPENROUTER_API_KEY="your-openrouter-api-key"
EXA_API_KEY="your-exa-api-key"
OPENROUTER_MODEL_ID="minimax/minimax-m2:free"  # Optional

  3. Run the Streamlit app:

    streamlit run 8_startup_idea_validator/streamlit_app.py

  4. Use the interface:

    • Enter startup idea description
    • Click "Validate My Idea"
    • Review comprehensive validation report

Input Guidelines: Include problem, solution, target market, and unique value proposition in your description.

Example Input:

A B2B SaaS platform for small e-commerce businesses to optimize 
inventory management using AI predictions. Target: $100K-$5M revenue
