optional task entity for microscopy ?

Idea triggered by #1177

No current explicit need from users as far as I know but could prove useful in some cases, so opening an issue we can refer to.

Potential application: c-fos and other immediate early genes activation studies (or similar in principles) where 2 group of animals are subjected to different stimuli or perform different task, and brain slices are then processed to see what neurons were "activated" (started synthesizing some proteins that are used as proxy for some recent neuronal firing).

I don't recall any request for "task" while developing the microscopy BEP.
This is an interesting question, as microscopy could be in vivo or in vitro (as per SampleEnvironment), why not?

I know very little about the "task" portion of the spec and I see that it there are some discussions on the "task" vs. "acq" vs. "run" definitions in #1177, so some real-life examples would be necessary to make sure the microscopy definition is compatible and not too much of a stretch.

ok. Glad to know I was not completely asleep at the wheel when the BEP was developped.

Tempted to say to wait for users to ask before adding it to the spec: but at least we have an issue to flag this as a potential extension.
