How do you handle tabindex?

How do you handle tabindex when for example:

<div id="changeMe">
<input>
<input>
<select>
<input>
<input>
</div>

All the inputs are targeting "#changeMe" and they send an update request to the server.

How to ensure a "tab" made in the first input focus the second one after the request?
