This website is based on http://bedford.io (GitHub repo) with modifications made by Rasi Subramanium. I further customized the site by incorporating elements from the hugo-academic theme.
- Ruby version is specified in the
.ruby-versionfile and the gems versions in theGemfile.lock. - Don't use the system ruby. I used to use
rbenvto manage different ruby versions. Here
To build the website locally, clone the repo with:
git clone https://github.com/binhe-lab/binhe-lab-pub.git
Then install necessary Ruby dependencies by running bundle install from within the binhe-lab directory. After this, the site can be be built with:
bundle exec jekyll build
To view the site, run bundle exec jekyll serve and point a browser to http://localhost:4000/. More information on Jekyll can be found here.
