Text mining add-on and data privacy

I am looking to run the text mining add-on and would like to know if these widgets send data to the server for computation or can I use this completely disconnected from the Internet.

Thank you for the question. It is indeed poorly documented. The only widget in Text Mining add-on that sends data to server computation is Document Embedding (ok, also Twitter Profiler, but this one is basically deprecated). All others compute locally.
That said, some widgets require internet connection to work:

• data retrieval widgets (The Guardian, NY Times, PubMed, Wikipedia)
• Preprocess Text requires internet on the first run to retrieve nltk_data and on subsequent runs when new models are used in Lemmatization
