As per design decisions, Biome isn't in charge to print diagnostics, in fact the API returns a string, then the caller decides to do whatever they want.

printDiagnostics was created for the playground, so we can have nice colours in the browsers.

The WASM distribution has a pullDiagnostics API that returns a serialised version of the diagnostics. You can then decide to print them as you want.

If I misunderstood what you asked, please add more details.

The return type of "pullDiagnostics" is very complicated. I just need the same output as the CLI, but currently I have to reinvent the wheel to print them :(

Also, it's extremely hard to work with that output. Since Advice is a union type but not exported, I can't write something like function printAdvice(adv: /* Advice type? */)

The JavaScript APIs and WASM utilities aren't actively maintained, but PRs are very welcome.

You could start by creating a new function that prints diagnostics in plain strings.
