Cannot sync to the Radicale server on my notebook via hotspot when the notebook has no internet connection

I use DAVx5 to sync address book and calendar on my Android phones with the Radicale server on my Windows 11 notebook via the hotspot of the notebook. (This was recommended to me in this repo to always have the same IP address for the DAVx5 acount. 🙏) This works well as long as the notebook has an internet connection.

Usually Windows 11 allows to run the hotspot only when the computer has internet connection. This is not always the case when I am not at home but nevertheless I want to sync notebook and phones.
I found a way to run the hotspot although there is no internet connection and the phones do connect to the hotspot - of course stating that there is no internet connection.

The problem: DAVx5 does not sync although I can access the Radicale server via browser.
Is there something I can do to make DAVx5 sync even when there is no - in this case not necessary - internet connection?
If not, can this be added as an option to the settings of DAVx5?

Hi, can you try with the "VPN connectivity" option toggled off in the account's settings in DAVx⁵ and see whether it fixes the issue?

Unfortunately this does not fix the issue. Perhaps it does not apply because it is not a VPN connection but a normal WiFi connection, but without internet connection. I understand that this is a special case. Perhaps it needs an additional option.

Edit: I connected the phone with the hotspot while the notebook had internet connection and then switched WiFi off on the router. Windows kept the hotspot on and Android obviously did not detect the missing internet connection. In this state DAVx5 synced with the server on the notebook. But if there was no WiFi and I turned the hotspot on with the linked tweak, Android and DAVx5 notice the missing internet connection and DAVx5 does not sync.
