Describe the feature

The feedbacks section is growing and I think it makes sense to separate the feedbacks into their own categories.

Could there eventually be a feedback that's $(wing:bus08_mtx7_level) ? We use this a lot on our x32 that we are hoping to replace with a Wing, but right now I can't find a way to read out the level of Bus to Matrix. There's a chance it may not be possible, but I am curious.

Thanks for your suggestion. For my understanding, are you referring to a feeback or a variable?

The variable already exists, so if you would like a feedback, what would it look like? Can you provide an example of your current use case on the X32?

Would you want to have a feeback type that is reacting to a variable? If so, are you aware of the „Trigger“ functionality in Companion?

I am realizing that yes I did mean variables when I typed that, but feedbacks would be nice!

I don't currently see a Bus->Mtx Level variable, I only see Bus->Mtx Mute state in v2.1.0 (latest that I see in companion):

I use the "Change from level to bus send" on X32 to set a channel to mute if a user goes below a certain threshold.

Having this in a feedback is more responsive than checking the variable, but is not a huge deal to grab the variable instead.

The Bus->Mtx Send variable is super useful to our setup - we use our X32 as a intercom/personal monitor mixer, so this gives a quick look to see what volume its set to.

I think I added those variables recently when I realized it was missing. @isaacdantzler What version of the module are you using?

v2.1.0 - it’s the latest that I can install on companion. I see notes for a v.2.2.0 but that’s not in the releases.

@elliotmatson added the bus to matrix levels last month, so they won‘t be in the currently released version
