[BUG]: Issues with Set / Store / Restore Panorama #166

@andrewinalaska

Description

@andrewinalaska

Make sure you're on the latest stable or beta build of both Companion and the module

  • I have tested this on the latest stable or beta release

Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing issues

Describe the bug

Inconsistent behaviors occur when attempting to run the preset "Boost & Center (channel)" buttons. Behaviors I've noted:

  • Step 1: channel fader is increased 3dB (with the defined fade behavior) and pan jumps to 0 (ignoring defined fade behavior). Step 2: channel fader is reduced 3dB (with the defined fade behavior) and pan remains at 0, rather than restoring the original (saved) pan value.
  • If you change the pan while on Step 2, it will jump back to 0 when you return to Step 1.
  • If you click the "Learn Values" button on the Set Panorama action on Step 1, it will show a channel selection of "?? (undefined)".
  • If you have used the "Boost & Center" button, and then change the fader position, when you next use it it will jump to the fader position it had been in when you first ran the "Boost & Center" action, and then fade up or down respectively from there.
  • Sometimes after several rounds of testing, it starts to only fade the pan back and forth between Step 1 and Step 2 (without adjusting the fader level at all), or only move the pan back and forth without adjusting the fader level.
  • Just for kicks, if I narrow the actions in that preset down to a single "Set Panorama" action with no fade, it works 100%. If I add a 1000ms fade back in, sometimes it works, and sometimes it jumps immediately to the ending value and won't allow you to change it on the console for the duration of the fade, as it seems to be constantly spamming the console with the ending value over and over for the fade duration.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Open Companion GUI
  2. Select Buttons
  3. Select Presets tab
  4. Select your WING connection
  5. Select Boost
  6. Drag any of the presets to an empty button
  7. Activate the "Boost & Center (channel)" button

Expected Behavior

Boost & Center preset would accurately store and recall both Fader Position and Pan Position when toggling through Step 1 and Step 2.

Environment (please complete the following information)

- Browser: Chrome 143
- Companion Version: 4.2.0
- Module Version: 2.1.0
- WING Firmware Version: 3.1
