Enabling direct connection to Stream Decks without disabling the Elgato plugin

With the Elgato Stream Deck software beta (7.1) now allowing a per device enable/disable of connected Stream Decks to allow them to be discovered by outside software without disabling the Stream Deck software as a whole, is there any discussion about Companion allowing for direct Stream Deck connection & the Elgato plugin to work simultaneously?

The exact description from Elgato is:

Stream Deck devices can now be disabled in the Stream Deck app. This enables third-party software, such as Bitfocus Buttons and other applications, to communicate directly with Stream Deck devices. At the same time, the Stream Deck app can now remain open to support other Stream Deck hardware, Virtual Stream Deck or Stream Deck Mobile.

You’ll find the option in Preferences > Devices > Enabled (Yes/No).

This is on my radar, but nothing particularly planned.
Once #3703 is done, then the rule of not running the plugin and using local streamdecks will disappear, and looking into per-device opening rules would be achievable.
