[BUG] Enable Connected Streamdecks switch Missing from new update.

Describe the bug

For the life of me I cannot find the spot that used to be in settings to turn off so that elgato software would take control. It was a switch to turn off and allow my elgato GrandMA software thru. But now it is gone or may set to automatic somewhere. To me that is a Bug. Did you forget to put that back in for this upgrade?

Launch Gui
click on settings
then surfaces
There is supposed to be an option to turn off so Elgato Software passes thru. Like the Screen Shot.

Expected Behavior

It's what allows software written for Elgato StreamDeck to pass thru Companion. If this has been moved from where it was can you tell me where too. I have looked everywhere. There is a scrrenshot i put in for where that used to be in older version of Companion Software. Thank you

Since 4.3, all the surfaces are connected through a plugin like system that we have had for longer with connection.

So you now want to disable the 'surface integration' called 'elgato stream deck'

So I went in and disabled the surface integration. Which now made the elgato software locate the stream deck. But you know those mappings of the keys like used to be from companion I cannot get them back which was how the particular program I believe was programmed to work. I am guessing if I disable it those keys are gone, enable it they come back. Here is a little video coming from the guy that created the software I use. Everything from that video should still work. But that video is showing a 4 year old version of Companion, and many things have changed since then so things will be in a different place and might need to be setup a little differently.

I would have hoped so. But you know these numbered buttons behind the scenes of streamdeck and how it maps out. They are gone and I cannot get them back without companion. When i have in Surface integration and general settings, the stream deck disabled. And repower the stream deck. I get the numbers back and can test them and they work with companion. But at the same time I turn on elgato software. Then it says stream deck not found. Companion see's it when the settings is on. But off Companion says its offline. But turn on Elgato and it finds it and puts my buttons for the MA3 program on. But when I hit keys like the video. All those numbers are gone and no communication. 4.3 that switch communicated thru companion somehow. I put a lot of screen shots in but the order of them are a mess. One of them is the 4.3 switch i turn off. the others were the back and forth between enabling and disabling the Surface Intergration settings. So this has been a nightmare. If you know of a way I would love to know it.

What about the connection settings for the plugin inside the elgato software?

The protocol was changed in Companion 5.0, requiring a recent version of the plugin and for it to be configured to use the new protocol bitfocus/io.bitfocus.companion-plugin#30

The elgato software doesnt leave a lot of room for making setting changes. And i went back even further to 4.2.6. To get my program to work again. I just never will update it. Which some auto update thing must have thrown it into the mix this time. Took a little playing with but soon as i set the port right everything was back. You don't have a clue how happy I am that you shown me how to roll back. I mean to the person that programmed this program I use must have taken a long time. Because there is pages of shortcuts to the program that I use before being on the actual console. If you ever go to a concert and you see all the lighting in the air. They have an offline editor that this helps a ton with. I may not program concerts but I program on that console that does a lot of them. malighting.com
