ability to reset timer for repeating (time interval) trigger functions

Although I think the merits of this feature stand on their own, this is a possible alternative to my request in #1894

I'd like a way to reset the timer on a "time interval" trigger.

Usecases

Snooze button.

Anything can be given a "screen saver" type of timeout.
