creating static md pages from the results of pages with dataview queries

I'd like to be able to export portions of my notes using tools such as https://github.com/klalle/ObsidianToHtmlConverter and https://github.com/zoni/obsidian-export ... however, dataview poses a problem, as the pages are rendered realtime within obsidian. I'd like a way (using the api/plugin 'export' function, some way) to "statisize" the content of pages using the dataview plugin so that I can then, in turn, use another export tool to move that data somewhere else.

does this functionality already exist? or is it something that could be done easily?

It may need a little jiggering / adjustments to work, though Dataview exposes functions for rendering the output of queries via the DataviewPlugin#dataview calls (which take in a query block and render to a DOM element). Perhaps this could work?

This may need to wait a little bit then for Dataview's own static output functionality; alternatively, with a little work I could at least expose an API for statically executing queries and returning results which would then be formatted.

@jcolson thank you for sharing this idea. I came here looking for a way to export Dataview tables to CSV so that I could build data visualisations on top of my queries. Converting Dataview to markdown (which I had not considered) could potentially open up this opportunity by rendering the Dataview into a table and using the Obsidian Charts Community Plugin to draw a chart on top of that table.

Couldn't you do smth similar to how the Waypoint plugin uses a %% Begin Waypoint %% and %% End Waypoint%% comments to mark the start and end bounds of a dynamic list?

These then get automatically filtered out when in reading view as they are Obsidian Comments, so you could have a comment at the beginning with the query there too and another comment to mark the end.
