Set a default Max Recording Duration for auto stop?

I wonder how much work it would be to implement a simple auto-stop: i.e:

# Max duration a recording can be. The recording will automatically stop after this duration. Set this to 0s to disable max duration.
recordMaximumDuration: 1s [1h, 1d, ...]
