Ping Device Failed to Initalize

While using an Arduino UNO and and the example Ping 1d-simple program from the library example book, it was unable to initialize even though all connections to the sonar unit are correct. The following error is given:

Ping device failed to initialize!
Are the Ping rx/tx wired correctly?
Ping rx is the green wire, and should be connected to Arduino pin 10 (Arduino tx)
Ping tx is the white wire, and should be connected to Arduino pin 9 (Arduino rx)

Is there any recommendation on how to correct this issue and have the program working as expected?

Can you figure out to solve this issue?
I am also having the same issue while I am trying to connect the sensor to Arduino Uno.

This was solved on the BlueRobotics Forum by using pingSerial.begin(115200) instead of pingSerial.begin(9600).

I'm currently discussing internally whether there are likely to be any issues with this vs the current documented approach of changing the ping firmware from its default baudrate of 115200 to 9600, and if not will update our example code and guides accordingly.
