Description
Hello BNB Chain Team,
I am reporting a BEP2 asset recovery issue affecting hardware wallet users.
BEP2 address:
bnb1d2n02ee77zl2rquc6vrqvkhwasqanfu346l8gn
Last transaction hash:
B8CE2D7A0C3D7A4F5B82871499BBAAB181AA999C7C35CAEBCF3233113CE032CE
My BEP2 assets are controlled by a Tangem hardware wallet.
I am aware of the official BEP2 recovery tool, however it only supports Trust Wallet and BNB Chain Wallet.
Tangem wallets:
- do not allow private key export
- cannot be imported into Trust Wallet
- are not supported by the recovery tool
As a result, hardware wallet users are completely blocked from recovery, despite being legitimate asset owners.
Questions:
- Is there a planned manual or alternative recovery process for hardware wallets?
- Is BNB Chain working with hardware wallet providers (Tangem, etc.) to enable recovery via message signing?
- If not, should such BEP2 assets be considered permanently unrecoverable?
I am ready to provide any proof of ownership required.
Thank you for clarification.
