Issue description and reproduction steps

To reproduce, you can just put an invalid path for renderdoccmd. It never shows an error, which makes it really annoying when trying to get it to work in a Flatpak sandbox.

I have to use Flatpak because the alternative is endless fighting with Blender's Python to get it to cooperate with my system.

(Despite the fact that renderdoc path is "file_that_doesn't_exist", which is not a file that exists, there is no error)

The issue does not depend on the blend file.
