6 hours. 6 whole hours

When i tried to install howdy using yay on my macbook pro 2012, running Manjaro linux, it took a while, so long that when i had to leave, i had to leave it going. And when i got home i checked it, it had failed, and in Manjaro, it tells you how long it took, and it said 6 HOURS. I'm going to install howdy on a different operating system but, does anyone why
 why it took six hours?
