Will the existing notes feature work for this? When viewing a book details page, notes is one of the tabs near the bottom. |

Oh, yes, that could an option/workaround. The field itself is a little bit small. I will try with some summaries |

You can use the Notes section for this. It’s suitable for storing summaries and quick references, the space is a bit limited for very long summaries, but it works well as a workaround. |

I was just thinking about this yesterday. I was trying to pick up a book I'd stopped reading maybe 6 months ago and I was really confused about who was who and what was happening. I thought it would be really cool to have a system that could provide an AI summary of the book up to the % that had been read. Just something to catch me up, refresh my memory of the characters and context, and then let me pick it back up, but no spoilers about future pages. |

What's Your Idea?
I would like to have the possibility to save a summary of a book to have a quick remembering of a story, and if it is worth of a reread or to get back inside a series.
Why Would This Be Helpful?
When reading a series with breaks, like waiting for the next book or reading something else in between, it's tough to recall the overall story, characters, or open plot threads without rereading entire volumes. I'd love a dedicated "Summary" tab or field per book (or series overview) for a quick remembering. For the summary they could be requested by AI and copied to the book.
The description field isn't ideal for summaries, as they're too spoiler-heavy and need more space.
Alternatively, the summaries could be saved as local files (probably better) and added as additional "book" type or visible inside a tab (between book details and search metadata). No database bloat, and keeps things flexible.
