To accept your contribution, we require you to agree to our Contributor License Agreement (CLA).
smokedmeat is backed by a commercial company. We believe in Open Source, but we also rely on a commercial business model to fund the ongoing development and maintenance of this project.
The CLA ensures that:
- We can defend the project: It gives us the legal standing to enforce the license if others violate it.
- Sustainability: It grants us the rights to include your contributions in our commercial products, which in turn generates the revenue that supports this Open Source project.
- Your Rights: You retain full ownership of your code. You simply grant us permission to use it.
When you open a pull request, the CLA Assistant bot will comment asking you to sign. Simply reply with:
I have read the CLA Document and I hereby sign the CLA
The bot will record your agreement and update the PR status check. You only need to sign once — it will be remembered for future pull requests.
