Fails completely on MacOS 10.14.1

Describe the bug
I immediately get a Java stack trace on macOS.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Download boot.sh, rename to boot and put it on your path
2. Open a terminal
3. Type boot and press return.

Expected behavior
It self-setups and shows a list of commands.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

• OS: macOS
• Version 10.14.1
