Code Of Conduct

Our Standard

PHANTOM is built in public, and we want the project to feel welcoming to people who are curious, thoughtful, and serious about building useful systems.

We expect contributors to:

  • be respectful and constructive
  • disagree with ideas without attacking people
  • assume good intent while still being clear and honest
  • help make the project understandable for newcomers
  • avoid harassment, intimidation, or exclusionary behavior

Scope

This applies to:

  • issues
  • pull requests
  • discussions
  • documentation
  • project chat spaces tied to PHANTOM

Unacceptable Behavior

Examples include:

  • personal attacks or insults
  • harassment or discrimination
  • doxxing or sharing private information without consent
  • deliberate disruption, spam, or bad-faith participation
  • hostile behavior that makes collaboration unsafe

Maintainer Responsibility

Project maintainers may edit, remove, or reject content that violates this code of conduct. They may also temporarily or permanently restrict participation when needed to protect the project and its contributors.

Reporting

If you see a problem, report it privately through the contact path in SECURITY.md or by opening a respectful maintainer contact request.

Enforcement Philosophy

We want a project that is technically rigorous and welcoming. Enforcement should protect contributors, reduce unnecessary conflict, and keep the work moving.
