Description

Description

Title: HAVIT KB487L (SINO WEALTH 258A:002A) Delete Key fails/crashes Brave Snap on Ubuntu Wayland

Description: The Delete key on a HAVIT KB487L keyboard (Chipset: SINO WEALTH, Vendor: 258A, Product: 002A) works correctly in native X11 and other Wayland applications. However, in the Brave Snap package on Ubuntu (Wayland session), the key fails to register or causes the browser to hang/crash.

Environment:

OS: Ubuntu (Wayland session)
Browser: Brave Browser (Snap package)
Keyboard: HAVIT KB487L (SINO WEALTH 258A:002A)
Evidence:

evtest shows the key sends code [INSERT CODE HERE] on /dev/input/eventX.
X11 mode: Works.
Wayland (Native): Works.
Wayland (Brave Snap): Fails/Crashes.
Request: Please investigate the input handling for non-standard SINO WEALTH keycodes within the Snap sandbox environment. This is a regression in the Snap input layer or XWayland bridge.

Steps to reproduce

1.acquire the keyboard
2. connect to AMD system
3.boot Kubuntu 26.04
4. Install Brave via SNAP
5. Open Brave browser and try to use the delete key

Actual result

Character does not delete, cursor does not move. Key is probably remapped add generates an unrecognized code.

Expected result

Please fix this be for X11 is abandoned.
