Integration misbehaving producing prodigious pending messages since HA 2026.1.2 OS17

Since the installation of OS17 on HA 2026.1.2 the BOM integration produces this error:

Client unable to keep up with pending messages. Reached 4096 pending messages. Prior to OS17 but still on HA 2026.1.2 the integration behaved normally. Multiple reboots have not fixed the issue.

Converting to manual data pulls every 15 minutes work without errors.

Confirming same symptom on HA 2026.5.4 with BoM 1.3.5 — 154 forecast entities (forecasts_days: 7 × 22 monitored metrics) producing a state_changed event every poll because the response_timestamp attribute updates each cycle. With the iOS/macOS Companion app subscribed to all state changes, the queue hits 4096 within ~25 polls (~2 hours of uptime).

A few notes for triage:

1. Trigger is the changing response_timestamp/issue_time attributes, not changing values. Even forecast entities whose state hasn't changed (e.g. mdi_icon_5 stuck on mdi:weather-sunny as in the original report) still emit a state_changed event every poll because their attributes shift.

2. Disabling entities in HA's registry doesn't help — see also Entites do not stay disabled #238. The integration still pushes state for entities marked disabled_by: user.

3. Workaround that's working for us: reducing forecasts_days (from 7 to 3) cuts per-poll event count from ~165 to ~76, which stays comfortably under the 4096 queue limit. Not a fix, but stops the spam.

4. Timing pattern: state_changed events arrive in tight clusters exactly on 5-minute BoM poll boundaries (e.g. 11:02, 11:07, 11:12, 11:17 ...). Matches the API call cadence rather than any state changes.

PR #265 (consolidating per-day entities into one) would likely resolve this at the root if merged.

BTW, the latest is 1.3.6 but because this git is not very well maintained, HACS does not know about it (see #281) and does not offer update.
