This is an improvement I waited for for years but never materialized in iamcco/markdown-preview.

It's very natural to keep your eyes on the browser preview while we type content. While we are typing it is easy to see it appearing, however I would really appreciate it if the exact cursor location could get rendered into the frontend so that i can do simple operations involving normal mode without having to look back at the vim window.

Describe the solution you'd like

Track the cursor location and on the web browser frontend, display it in both insert and normal modes (worry about visual later) and indicate which mode we're in.

I think it is possible, we already have code that scroll to the line your cursor is in. But the problem is how it should be displayed? Especially in case like Katex math equations, Mermaid chart.

it's an interesting engineering problem with thorny rabbit holes, but I believe it is an important enough feature that a best effort implementation is justified. So, for the cases where it is easy, a cursor can be shown. Where it becomes intractable for whatever reasons then it can give up and just highlight the entire chunk that is being modified.
