What should be added to .gitignore?

Currently I have this added to .gitignore.

/.smart-env/smart_threads
/.smart-env/multi

While not adding:
.smart-env/smart_env.json

I recommend adding the entire .smart-env folder, including the smart_env.json file, because it can contain secrets like API keys. But if the repo is private and you are comfortable/familiar with the potential implications, then including it in version tracking shouldn't cause issues with the software.

The multi/ folder contains a lot of data that changes relatively frequently, so excluding it is best practice to prevent bloating .git and reduce syncing overhead. The same applies to the adjacent folders (e.g. smart_threads/), though they should have notably less data.
