Notes are excluded despite not adding them to be excluded

I have a long list of notes listed in the excluded files list, including all my Notes and Inputs (sources I have imported from Readwise etc). However, I didn't add these and can't see a way to remove them. I am using this vault with the git plugin and these are in the folders that I added to my gitignore - is that how they became excluded? Or any other suggestions for how I fix this?

Hi @ellierennie

"Path too long" is a common reason for auto-exclusions. This happens a lot with imported notes.

.gitignore patterns are also used, but can be disabled by adding skip_excluding_gitignore: true into the smart_env.json file.

The settings UI for handling exclusions is also scheduled to be improved, for example, it should be easier to manage/remove those exclusions you're seeing from the settings. Currently no ETA on that but issues like this help me better prioritize it.

Thanks @brianpetro - adding the skip_excluding_gitignore: true resolved the problem
