Our app is in production and released on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. requestReview works as expected on iOS devices, Google Pixels, and an Asus ROG Phone 5 I own and tested on personally. However the ratings dialog never appears on Samsung devices. From looking through similar issues, it appears this has been an issue for quite a while, and is likely the cause of the imbalance of iOS/Android reviews other users have mentioned since Samsung holds the largest market share of Android devices, or at least that's the case for our user base. We've tested on 3 separate Samsung devices, an S21, S24, and S25 IIRC and they all had this issue. I am 100% sure this is not being caused by the quota.

Update: I just tested on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, and requestReview does work on that device. It's on a much older version of their Android flavor (Android 12) so I'm wondering if Samsung introduced a feature similar to Apple's to prevent the review window from appearing.

Same problem here, also on a Samsung device (Galaxy M51, Android 12).
Nothing happens when calling await InAppReview.instance.requestReview(), even though await InAppReview.instance.isAvailable()returns true.

I tried with the versions 2.0.10 and 2.0.9 (2.0.9 was working before).
But I'm wondering if it could be related to the fact that the app I'm testing is in open test track and not in production yet.

I am experiencing this issue on multiple android devices:

• Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 (android 10)
• Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 (android 15)
• Google Pixel 9 (android 16)

The version i use in my app is 2.0.10 and the resolved version of in_app_review_platform_interface is 2.0.5.

The app is already in production and the bug was noticed there first, then the app was tested in internal testing with a more verbose approach and the issue persisted.

this is equivalent to the code in internal testing and i am confirmed to request the review correctly on all 3 devices listed above.

I fear the package holder will not come to fix this (this is becoming frustratingly common too with flutter packages).
No responses on this thread, last commit 9 months ago, and @britannio is unseen (go look at #152 ) . anyone willing to make a fork? or with an existing package replacing this one?

To clarify, the package isn't working in internal testing on the devices you mentioned?

Have you already left reviews for you app on your account? Im testing this package at the moment on my devices where ive definitely not already left reviews the prompt opens on both ios and android but its not working for my coworker but I think he has put reviews on the store previously, going to test more android versions but for me Prod Android 13 works, Prod IOS 16.6 Works, Simulator IOS 18.1 works

Cot some coworkers to test so far Android 15 Prod not working, IOS 18.5, 18.6 Prod not working

Doesnt show for me on android 15 but checking logcat it looks like it was successful

The three devices i listed before belong to me and two coworkers of mine and we have three different accounts.
One account definitely left a review (even though the Play Console does not show it anymore), but the other two accounts did not.

All three of us can not leave a review and experience what described above Re

Now shortly after your message the only account with the review deleted it, rebooted and still was not able to leave a review.

After your edit i can see what i presumably think is a confirm from your side: the package thinks that the review was left correctly, but it clearly was not.

I have done one last test. I just realized that all three of the account i've tested on are marked as internal testers.

Removing the account from the testers mail list DOES let me leave a review as expected.

Searching in the Google Play Console there are two different sections for reviews:

• Monitor and Improve > Rating and Reviews > Reviews
• Monitor and Improve > Rating and Reviews > Testing Feedback

the first is listed as a review from users, and the second from internal testers.
When removing the account from the internal testers, starting Google Play as that account, rebooting, reinstalling from production (it made me still reinstall the internal testing for some reason, more testing on that later), and logging in the app with that account, it lets me leave the review correctly BUT on the Google Play Console i can still see it under the "Testing Feedback" section. This is probably linked to the version, further tests coming.

@Tox46 Regarding internal testers on my android 15 device I was logged in with my work google account which is an internal tester, i signed out of that google account and logged in with my personal one and reisntalled the app and got the review prompt correctly

Actually jsut checking my personal email is also an internal tester on the play store, wondering if its to do with various metrics maybe icluding app runtime for the account?

Can confirm same issue on Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and couple of other Samsung devices - Pixel works though. Very strange.

Moreover - on Samsung it was actually working during testing when running the flutter project in development environment however after it was released on production it stopped working.
