renv issues

If you are unable to get renv to work on this project, as a temporary workaround call renv::deactivate() to temporarily turn it off. You may then need to install the correct version of the gridlayout package via:

`devtools::install_github("rstudio/gridlayout@9869487df905ead3ad21c5192602ce1189b33c7f")`

As the latest versions of the package have changed the API.

Updating the renv to be compatible with later versions of R result in gridlayout errors. Need to update the grid layout functions with latest package changes.
