PanelApp gene category customization not being saved

Describe the bug
I created a new saved search called 'Talos_AD_8.29.4' selecting PanelApp's Mendeliome list filtering it down to genes in the 'Green' category only. However, when I hit search or run the saved search again, genes from the other categories pop up.

What I'd like is for PanelApp customizations to be saved.

Chrissy's bug was related to MOI, not related to removing genes from the list. We have never supported editing the actual list of genes in a search using a saved gene list, because the entire point of saving a search with a gene list is that when the list changes the search automatically uses the latest version of the list
Saving a search to only include specific colors would require us to change the UI to explicitly choose the colors to include similar to how MOI works, and is a new feature

Thanks for the clarification. We will need the ability to save the category (color) of PanelApp genes for the Talos searches, also to prioritize variants.

Please remember that Talos searches are not going to be run from the UI, so we do not need to update the UI to support them unless the UI is useful. With alphamissense for instance this seems like something we need for Talos but could also be used in other way and is thus worth adding to the UI. But for this case I am not convinced that this functionality would be very helpful to most users, and for testing out Talos searches its not too much work to remember to edit the list before running.
