Right now there is a discussion ongoing about which transactions should be included in the mempool of a node. My own opinion is that those things should be configurable as in Bitcoin Knots. Based on opinions like the Bitcoin Core developers have gone rogue and don't support Bitcoin as it is intended, a monetary network, I am starting to realize that also node software should be decentralized. That's how I came here and that's why I just started running btcd instead of Bitcoin Knots. My question is if btcd does any spamfiltering like Bitcoin Knots and if so, how does it work, and if not, shouldn't it be included? I am very happy to support btcd as fully alternative Bitcoin node software, but in order to continue my support i would like to see configurable spam filtering for the mempool. Not sure who is behind btcd and also happy to know who you are.
