Research Question

Single sentence description:
It'd be valuable to have a dataset of estimated stop level ridership information for all agencies across california.

Detailed description:

How will this research be used?

What will be achieved or informed? What is the intended impact?

There are various analyses that can just use dervied stop level information to highlight certain routes, parts of routes.

Stakeholders & End-Users

Who is asking the question, and who is the audience?
I don't know.

Metrics

Some metrics that shows relative ridership levels for that agency for that stop. We should shoot for a yearly stop level ridership estimation. How much is this stop used every year.

Data sources

Extend the work of the ahsc grant analyses.

  • Uses ntd ridership info from the warehouse

Deliverables

  • A single table of agency - stop - ridership, imputed data only

There should be a separate script that takes imputed numbers, and existing tides numbers, and makes a table of stop level ridership info. This would be ingested into the database.

I think we should make a new repo that

  • Collects information about existing stop level ridership data
  • Contains individual scripts that converts those stop level ridership information to tides format
  • Contains the code to produce the derived stop level information
