How to remove 2FA from self hosted

The typical, I changed my phone, all my 2FA went to whack happened. I need to turn off 2FA in my Cal.mydomain.com site so I can reset it and set it up again...

I searched the discussions but I could not find an answer to my issue, which is weird.

1. Log in to your account.
2. Go to the 2FA settings page at /settings/security/two-factor-auth.

4. Enter your password when prompted.
5. Use the OTP from your current 2FA setup to authenticate the process.
6. Click the "disable-2fa" button.
7. Ensure the 2FA switch is now unchecked, indicating 2FA is disabled.

This will allow you to disable 2FA and set it up again with your new phone ^[1].

Step 1 cannot be completed, since you can't log into the server to turn it off.

I assume this is not up to date anymore.

But here's what I've done and it was fixed (docker setup):

1. Backup calcom database using docker exec -t calcom_postgres pg_dump -U postgres_user calcom_db > ./backup_pg.sql
2. Login to postgres container using docker exec -it calcom_postgres bash
3. Login in postgres using psql -U postgres_user calcom_db
4. Update the user database entry and disable 2FA: select id, "twoFactorEnabled" from users where "email" = '[email protected]';
5. After that, you should be able to login without 2FA. Just set up 2FA again in your account

Please note that the commands use following variables which might need to be adjusted due to your setup:
calcom_postgres is your postgres docker container used by calcom
postgres_user is the postgres user set up with POSTGRES_USER in your docker-compose.yml or .env
calcom_db is the postgres database name set up with POSTGRES_DB in your docker-compose.yml or .env
[email protected] is the email of the account to be reset.
