Scroll to time selection stop working after going back to the date selection (booking page)

Issue Summary

On small screens (e.g. mobile), on the page where you selected date & time, after clicking on a date in the calendar it scrolls to the list of time options. If you then scroll back up and select another date, it doens't scroll anymore. The same apply if you select a time, then a date and click the 'Back' button on the popup, and when selecting another date it doesn't scroll to the are where the available time slots are available.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Go to a booking page on a small screen (mobile or a small-size window). It needs to be small enough to need to scroll to see the date and the list of available time
2. Select a date
3. Select a time
4. Click the 'back' button on the popup
5. scroll back up to the date selection
6. click another date

Actual Results

It stops scrolling to the area where you can select the time.

Expected Results

It should keep on scrolling like when you first open the page

• Safari on mobile - Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 18_7 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/26.2 Mobile/15E148 Safari/604.1

Hi @edoardoturelli , I think this behavior is intentional by design. The auto-scroll to time slots is meant to trigger only once per session to guide first-time users to the time selection area. Repeated auto-scrolling on every date change would be disruptive and take control away from the user, especially when they're browsing multiple dates to compare availability.
After the initial scroll, users are expected to navigate manually as they're now aware of where the time slots are located

Thanks Abishek for the additional information and I appreciate it's a deliberate choice. As a user I find the ux not consistent, and somewhat inefficient. If am comparing dates I can't simply click another date (1 click), but I need to clic a date and the scroll (2 user actions). It would be also interesting to understand what's the use case for clicking another date and not wanting to see the available time slots on that date? It looks like other platforms maintain the autoscroll also on subsequent clicks on a date. Thanks again for your support

Hi @edoardoturelli , I looked into this and while I understand the frustration, this might actually be intentional behavior from cal.com's side - the initial scroll is likely meant as a one-time UX hint to guide users to the time slots, rather than something that repeats on every date selection.

That said, I can see the argument for making it scroll every time, especially on mobile where visibility is limited. I'll go ahead and raise a PR for this - if the maintainers feel it improves the UX and merge it, great! If not, we'll leave it as is. 🙂
