Microceph: Command not found RPi

I have followed the guide installing microceph via snap. When i get to any microceph command with sudo, it says "sudo: microceph: command not found". You can run microceph without the sudo command, but microceph bootstrap, just hangs.

I found this issue after also experiencing the same problem.

I have managed to get to a working "solution"/workaround to this, outlined below.
I believe this is more a RaspberryPi OS problem than a microceph problem

To verify this is missing from PATH for root run the following (which should print a PATH without /snap/bin)

sudo -s
echo "$PATH"

/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin

Resolution

add the following to a new file in /etc/sudoers.d

snap_for_root
see /etc/sudoers for the existing path for sudo

Defaults        secure_path="/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/snap/bin"

This adds /snap/bin to the root users $PATH allowing sudo commands to see binaries in /snap/bin

You can verify by running the following commands again that should print a $PATH with /snap/bin

sudo -s
echo "$PATH"
