pnpm is a faster, more modern alternative to npm that is growing in popularity for Node.js projects.

This would be useful in snaps for codebases that use it, such as signal-desktop.

I second this - I used pnpm a lot in a past life and liked it way more. It's pretty much to npm what uv is to pip.
